In an age when 'expired car warranty' and other telemarketing calls are far too common, your customers are reluctant to answer their phones – especially true for toll free calls or numbers they don't recognize. While ignoring calls may be a good tactic to avoid spam calls, it's bad news for false alarms and may prevent your customers from getting the help they need. Today, most people prefer electronic notification over phone calls. Not only are text messages and emails more convenient, they’re a permanent record of the communication that can be saved for future reference and electronic messages can even be forwarded to additional parties. To give your customers the information they need in the way they prefer , we recommend taking advantage of the following electronic notification options available at COPS for all of your accounts: Setup is easy: eNotify and MYALARM.CHAT are signal-driven, which means the services must either be setup on your signal template(s), or for specific signals on the Code/Zone page on individual accounts. SMS notification of RPs is setup on the RP screen simply by entering a mobile telephone number and choosing "Text Message" as the notification type. NOTIFICATION TYPE Alarm received at...
